Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Onsuki. Setting up a business means you accept them.

1. Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your email address, or with Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what the staff you invite do with theirs.

2. Your business's data

The bookings, customers and records your business creates belong to your business. Onsuki stores them and keeps them separate from every other business's.

3. Payments between you and your customers

There are two ways your customers can pay, and they work differently. On the manual rail, Onsuki only records what is owed and what has been paid: the GCash or QRPh transfer goes straight from your customer to you, Onsuki never holds or moves the money, and marking an order paid is your judgment rather than ours. If you switch on the card and wallet gateway, the payment is processed by PayMongo and settles into Onsuki's PayMongo account, not yours. Onsuki receives that money on your behalf and owes it to you; we hold it as your agent rather than as our own, and remit it to you. PayMongo's own terms and processing charges apply to those payments alongside these terms.

4. What Onsuki costs

Nothing at present. There is no subscription and no billing. If you use the gateway, PayMongo charges for processing under your agreement with them; that is theirs, not ours. Onsuki may take a share of gateway payments; whatever rate applies to your business, you will be told before it applies to you, not after.

5. Handling your customers' data for you

The people in your records are your customers, not Onsuki's. Under the Data Privacy Act you decide what is collected and why; Onsuki processes it on your instructions in order to run the software, and for nothing else. We keep it separate from every other business, we use the subprocessors listed in the privacy policy and tell you before that list changes, and we help you answer a request from one of your customers to see, correct or remove what you hold about them.

6. What is expected of you

Use Onsuki for your own business, keep your sign-in to yourself, and do not attempt to reach another business's records. Access can be suspended for those things, or where we are required to. Where suspension is not urgent you will be told first.

7. What is not promised

Onsuki is provided as it is. It is not promised to be uninterrupted or free of defects, and it does not replace your own records for tax or for anything else the law requires you to keep. To the extent the law allows, Onsuki is not liable for lost profit, lost bookings, or losses arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Ending it

You can stop using Onsuki whenever you like, and ask for your business's data to be exported to you. Records are then kept rather than destroyed: bookings, orders and payments are the business's own books, and tax law requires them to exist for years after the business stops trading. If Onsuki is discontinued you will be given reasonable notice and a way to take your data with you.
