How to take bookings from Instagram and Facebook

Onsuki4 min read

For many businesses in the Philippines, Instagram and Facebook are the shop window. People see your work there first, and the shorter the path from a post to a booked time, the more of them book.

This guide covers where to put your booking link, how to link a post to the exact service it shows, and how to tell which posts bring bookings rather than only likes.

Put one link in every profile

Use one booking link everywhere, so clients learn it and you only update it once.

  • Instagram: in your profile's website field, with a short line in your bio such as "Book online below".
  • Facebook Page: in the website field, and as the link on your Page's action button, such as Book now.
  • Google Business Profile: as your website and booking link. See how to set up your Google Business Profile.
  • TikTok, if you use it: in the profile's website field.

Skip link-in-bio pages with ten buttons. Every extra tap between the profile and the booking loses people. If you need more than one link, make the booking link the first and biggest.

Link posts and stories to the service they show

A client who saves a photo of a balayage wants that balayage, not your whole menu. Link the story or the post caption to that one service, so they land on its prices and open times.

  • Stories: add a link sticker that opens the service's own booking link.
  • Posts and reels: captions on Instagram don't make links clickable, so say "Book the service in this post from the link in our bio" and keep the bio link current. On Facebook, paste the service's link right in the post.
  • A team member's work: link to that person's own booking page, so the client books the stylist or trainer they just saw.
Tip: pin a post or a story highlight with your prices and the booking link. New followers look for it first, and it answers the most common question before anyone sends it.

Answer messages with the link

Messages will keep coming, and every one is a chance to book. Save a quick reply in Messenger and Instagram's inbox that answers in one line and gives the link: "Here are our prices and open times, and you can book here." Then answer anything specific yourself.

Clients who still prefer to chat can reach you from your booking page too. See how to move bookings out of Messenger.

Make the page match the post

A client who taps through from a post expects to see the same service, at the price they saw. Before you post, check the service's name, price, and photo on your booking page match what the post shows. If you announce a promo, make sure it applies when they book.

  • Use the same service names on the page and in your captions, so a client can find what they saw.
  • Show the price, or "from" a price, on both. A price that appears only after a message is a reason to scroll past.
  • Keep photos current. A cover photo from before your renovation sets the wrong expectation for the first visit.

See which posts bring bookings

Likes don't pay rent. To know which posts and ads bring bookings, measure visits and bookings on the booking page itself.

  • Meta Pixel on your booking page shows which Instagram and Facebook ads lead to bookings.
  • Google Analytics shows where visitors came from and which pages they opened.
  • Ask at checkout: "How did you find us?" A tally on a notepad for a month tells you more than you expect.

Bring people from the counter to your page

Print your booking QR code for the counter, the mirror, or the door. A client who scans it to book their next visit also finds your page to follow.

In Onsuki, Copy link and Download QR are in Settings, Website. Each service has its own link from Share, so a post can open straight on that service's times, and each team member can have a link that opens with them already chosen. Add your own Meta Pixel or Google Analytics to the booking site to see which ads bring bookings. Clients book on their phone without an account or an app. See Online booking.
